We will be watching this special event very closely here in Norfolk as our own Iona Lake is a contender for the title of Sports Personality of the Year, to be awarded by Active Norfolk. There are some great contenders this year, so the competition is tough!

Hosted by Active Norfolk, the Norfolk Sports Awards is a night to celebrate and reward  sporting excellence and physical activity within the County.

The nomination process opened to the public on Thursday 7th September and closes on Wednesday 11th October 2017. The judging panel will come together on Friday 13th October and shortlisted finalists in each of the award categories will be notified shortly thereafter.

Sky Sports presenter Simon Thomas will present the awards at the Open in Norwich on Tuesday, November 14th.
